What We Eat & How We Eat It
A Thai Meal usually consists of several dishes and is prepared with the aim of obtaining a balance between the five different flavours: sour, sweet, buttery, salty and spicy. Thai food can have very strong flavours, this is because they are made to be eaten with jasmine rice. All dishes are served at the same time and shared between diners, making the dining experience a truly communal affair. Many Thai dishes take a lot of time: some curries and soups need to be prepared overnight and meat often needs to be marinated, but as a result we achieve dishes that have depth and meat that is tender and flavorsome.
